Student Association of College of Interdisciplinary Individual Studies, invites the delegation of Sabauni students to participate in a Model United Nations conference hosted by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin - Catholic University of Lublin Model United Nations 2019.
The conference takes place from 3rd to 5th April 2019 at our university in Lublin, Poland. The interdisciplinary topic “Big Data, Big Politics” is relevant to students of a large variety of courses including but not limited to: Politics, International Relations, Engineering, Law and Philosophy.
The format of the conference involves active participation. Each delegate receives a role of a representative of a selected country in one of the three committees: Security Council, Human Rights Council and Economic and Social Council. The task of each participant is to present their state’s position on the topic discussed in their committee, and then together with other delegates create a solution to the debated issue in a similar way as it is done in the United Nations.
This allows participants to develop leadership skills, practice public speaking in English and meet their acquaintances from other countries.
Delegates’ application is open until 15th January. There is a discount on participation fee for delegations (a group of three students representing one chosen country in three different committees).
