On March 29, 2017, memorandum of collaboration was signed between The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University.
In the frame of memorandum, 4th year undergraduate students, post graduate students and alumni with high academic achievement will be given the opportunity to apply for internships in public institutions.
The internship program supports students to get employed in public sector and gain additional working experience.
On March 21, 2017 SabaUni Lawyers Club organized public lecture: Success – Walt Disney and decisions, which brought them success. The lecture was conducted by Giorgi Mikanadze, business-trainer, researcher of economic politics.
On March 20, 2017 interactive seminar in English - “How to become self-confident” - was held on the initiative of SabaUni and leaders school “Prep School for Leaders”. Speakers, Mzia Tolordava (trainer) and Eka Cherkezishvili (alumni of American Fulbright Program) spoke with pupils and university entrants about those necessary skills that help a lot to become self-confident. SabaUni students also attended the seminar.
14th march 2017. Presenter, professor of our University, Arina Tavakarashvili, referred the history of Georgia as a state, and its way passed from the beginning until present and religious and inner freedom of Georgians. Due to students’ deep interest, presenter also spoke about current religious issues of the country. The lecture was followed with question-answer session.
on 12th December 2017, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Giorgi Jamburia visited University College of Enterprise and Administration in Lublin, Poland. Working meetings were held in the frame of academic staff mobility program. They discussed about the opportunities of inviting Polish lecturers and involvement of students in exchange programs.
On 28th February, 2017. The presentation of the book by Vladimer Narsia, lecturer of Canon Law, was made in SabaUni. The book is entitled as “Introduction to an Orthodox Canon Law”. SabaUni students and professors of the Theology program attended the event.
From 5th of February till 11th of February of 2017 Irakli Tskhadadze, Dean of Sabaunis’ Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Gvantsa Abdaladze, chair of International Relations Bachelor’s program spent a business visit in Brno, Czech Republic. The Masaryk University hosted a first kick-off meeting of STAR (Sustainable Learner Centered Teaching, Advanced Resources for Georgia and China) project, funded under Erasmus+ KA2 program.
During the project meeting the participant were informed more information about the project, activities foreseen the project and its realization ways.
This project focuses on professional development of teachers in the area of innovative pedagogical approaches.
The key objective is to address the shortcoming in higher education across Georgia and China by systematically engaging HEIs in new practices with a learner-centred focus.
The project has started on 15th of October of 2016 and its duration is 3 years.
