Memorandum of collaboration was signed between Inga Bless Psychological Center and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, On May 19, 2017. In the frame of memorandum, Ms. Bless set up a scholarship for SabaUni students with amount of 100 GEL per student for 5 months. Moreover, SabaUni students will be able to attend closed seminars about interesting psychological issues conducted by the Center.
On 18th May, 2017 President met SabaUni students in the frame of the campaign “Constitution is for all of us”. Meeting continued in question-answer format. In the end, SabaUni Rector, Prof. Vazha Vardidze gave symbolic gift to the president –University publications.
On 18th May 2017, in the framework of memorandum with law office “Migriauli and Partners”, first-year students of Law, Khatia Khapava and Manana Javari were given special certificates for being scholarship holders. Students will get the scholarship with amount of 50 GEL per month.
On May 17, 2017, on the initiative of the Politics Club, SabaUni students met William Lahue, head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia. He spoke about NATO-Georgia Relations, Challenges and Perspectives.
On 12-13 May, 2017 international scientific conference was held in Croatia: ‘Hope in the Future: The Experiences of Youth under Communism, the Transition to Democracy and the Present’.
2-day event was opened by American Professor from Yale University Ivo Banac. The key-note speakers from the universities of USA, Croatia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovakia and Georgia delivered their presentations. Rector of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University Prof. Vazha Vardidze attended the Conference.
Event was organized by the University of Croatia and Nanovic Institute for European Studies of Notre Dame, USA.
SabaUni students of Law visited Tbilisi Registration Economic Zone and customs checkpoint “Red Bridge” with support of the Revenue Service of Georgia. They were introduced to simplified procedures for crossing borders. Representatives of customs department gave information to participants of the educational tour about reforms and procedures in the Registration Economic Zone.
On May 11, 2017 public lecture “criminal investigation activities by law-enforcement officers” was organized by SabaUni students’ self-government. The lecture was conducted by Ramaz Kvaratskhelia, head of the Military Police Department.
