Erasmus+ KA171 staff mobility for training at the Pontifical University of Salamanca
On April 15–19, 2024, the Pontifical University of Salamanca hosted the International Staff Week, which was attended by Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University Academic Research, Planning and Development Manager Mzia Jamagidze, and Quality Management Specialist Tamta Tavartkiladze. Sabauni employees were in Spain within the Erasmus+ KA171 administrative staff mobility funded by the European Commission.
The topic of the International Staff Week was “Digitalization in the University Context,” and more than 50 foreign colleagues from different parts of the world participated in it. During the five days, the participants of the week had the opportunity to get acquainted with the experiences of different universities, get to know the representatives of the partner universities, and share their own experiences.
"Participation in the international week organized by the Pontifical University of Salamanca gave me some experience, on the one hand, as a representative of the administration of Sabauni, because I got to know the experience of many universities in the direction of digitalization; I had interesting meetings with the vice-rector on research of the Pontifical University of Salamanca and also with the head of the library. The mutual sharing of experiences and opinions is important for evaluating one's own activities, getting to know certain innovations, and implementing them. At the same time, the visit gave me the opportunity to discuss the possibilities of future cooperation with representatives of other universities," said Mzia Jamagidze.
"It was an interesting experience in many ways. I was involved in the workshops and discussions planned within the week. I met the representatives of the quality management department of the Pontifical University of Salamanca and got to know their activities. At the meetings, we found out that they have the same challenges as us in terms of quality assurance, and I think it was interesting for both parties to share experience in this direction," said Tamta Tavartkiladze.
Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University has been cooperating with the Pontifical University of Salamanca since 2022 within the Erasmus+ ICM program.
