  • Cross-Cultural Research on Nurses: Innovative Work Behavior, Job Satisfaction, and Emotional Exhaustion: The Role of Task Interruption for Nurses

The cross-cultural research project entitled “Innovative Work Behavior, Job Satisfaction, and Emotional Exhaustion: The Role of Task Interruption for Nurses” is led by Nicola Cangialosi, Ph.D., Researcher at the University of Milan (Italy), and Guillaume R. M. Déprez, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Bordeaux (Psychology Laboratory EA4139, France). The research team also includes Lucie Pierre, Ph.D., University of Bordeaux, and Tamar Kobuladze, Ph.D., Associate Professor at Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University (Georgia).

The project has been ongoing since 2023, with Georgia joining the international research collaboration in 2025.

Initiated by a research team from the University of Milan (Italy) and the University of Bordeaux (France), this cross-cultural study is being conducted across five countries—France, Italy, Spain, Morocco, and Georgia. The research aims to examine the relationships between nurses’ autonomy, innovative work behavior, task interruption, job satisfaction, and emotional exhaustion, including both direct and indirect (moderating) relationships among these variables.

In Georgia, data were collected from 388 nurses between November and January. The collected data have been submitted to Professor Guillaume R. M. Déprez for statistical analysis.
